Objective

This assignment aims to assess learners’ ability to plan creative science lessons that can correct children’s misconceptions and relate science concepts to children’s daily life experiences.

REQUIREMENT

PART I

You are required to teach science to a group of six-year-old children. Explain in detail how you would teach children the concept of buoyancy and correct children’s misconceptions. Elaborate how the activity you have chosen would correct children’s misconceptions about solubility.

PART II: VIDEO RECORDING

The above picture shows the environmental impact of pesticides. Study the diagram and do some readings on how detrimental pesticides can be to the environment. Do a simple and creative video on how pesticides can be harmful to the environment. Apply the concept of solubility in your explanation. You may use PowerPoint, Canva, or any other application to make your recording interesting.
