Objective

This assignment aims to assess learners’ understanding of children’s language and literacy development. Learners will develop appropriate language learning activities and conduct language lessons applying various strategies and approaches.

REQUIREMENT

PART I

Question 1 LESSON PLAN

In this task, you will design a 45-minute lesson plan for 6-year-old children to enhance their listening and reading skills. You will apply one or more reading strategies, such as phonics, big book, look and say, or language experience approach, to achieve the learning objectives. Your lesson plan should include developmentally appropriate language activities that engage the children and effectively help them achieve the specified learning objectives.

Question 2 TEACHING DEMONSTRATION

Perform a teaching demonstration based on the lesson plan you have designed in Question 1. Your teaching demonstration should NOT be more than 15 minutes. The teaching demonstration can be implemented individually without any children participating. Your teaching demonstration needs to be recorded, and the video (size not exceeding 400MB) must be uploaded separately from your Part 1 assignment in the myINSPIRE submission system.
