Objective

This assignment aims to enhance learners’ understanding of the roles of information technology in education.

Requirements

The role of the Internet as a communication channel in modern education has transformed traditional education systems into digital learning environments.   Learners are required to refer to at least THREE journal articles (recent 5 years) and answer the following questions:

1. Discuss the various communication tools or platforms that facilitate teacher-student interaction, peer collaboration, and the exchange of educational content.
2. Discuss the pros and cons of using the Internet as a communication channel in education.
3. Discuss the role of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) as online education platforms in shaping the future of education through Internet communication.

Engage in substantive discussions on the following topics within the online forum and provide evidence of your active participation:

1. Discuss how online education will develop over the next ten years.
2. Discuss how online education can ensure accessibility and inclusivity for all learners, regardless of their geographical location or socioeconomic background.
3. Discuss how online courses and certifications can equip learners with the skills needed in a rapidly evolving, digital-centric job market.
